The rightly ordered world is where the Creator and Redeemer is worshipped by the created and redeemed. This is what the world to come will be. Until then, God’s people on earth rightly order themselves in humility and gratitude before him. We worship the Lord because he is God and he is good. We worship the Lord through Jesus. He has made the way for us to enter God’s presence. He is the Shepherd who laid down his life for the sheep. He is the steadfast love of the Lord enduring forever. At Grace Community Church, worship is at the heart of what we do. Come, let us worship the Lord.

When we demand that God communicate his love to us in the ways we want him to, we will not hear the expansive dimensions of it. God has loved us in Christ’s crucifixion on the cross. He continues to love us in his call to crucify the old self to follow Christ. God’s love is always in Christ. In life’s experiences that threaten our sense of God’s love, may we look to Christ, crucified and calling, and hear, “I love you.”

Do we follow our inclinations wherever they lead in the name of authenticity? Do we wait for our emotions to reengage with God and spiritual things before we pursue them? The wisdom of God calls us to direct our clean and new hearts in his ways. Yes, the heart can be directed, and God has given us the hope and help to do so.
